Immediately prior to his appointment, he was the Senior Manager Approvals, Analysis & Issuer Governance. He has also held various other positions at the Authority including Manager Market Supervision and Head of Regulatory Framework development.
His current responsibilities include; providing technical leadership and strategic direction in licensing of market intermediaries and approval of issuers of securities to the public, market supervision, financial analysis and reporting, issuer governance and investigations and enforcement.
Daniel is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He holds a Master of Laws degree (International Business Law) from The University of London, UK, a Graduate Certificate in Capital Markets from The George Washington University School of Business, USA and a Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of Nairobi. He also holds qualifications in accountancy (CPA) and company secretarial practice (CS). Daniel is an International Finance Corporation (IFC)-Milken Institute Fellow and a member of the Law Society of Kenya and Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts.
